Get Involved!
All families at Metro are required to volunteer ten (10) hours of time on behalf of the school community. Five hours (5) of time are applied as follows:
- 2 hours Fall/Spring Family Conferences
- 2 hours Fall/Spring Exhibitions
- 1 hour Presentation of a Benchmark or Graduation Portfolio
The remainder of the ten (10) hours can be made up with the following:
- 8th grade recruitment/enrollment events
- Attend Metro family nights
- Assist or participate with Principal’s Coffee
- Assist in finding Work Place Learning (WLE) mentors for students
- Assist with WLE Mentor Dinner assist with Senior Activities (Prom, Graduation, Fund-raising)
- Chaperon school events (field trips, dance, etc)
- Donate and organize food/snacks for student testing days and events
- Donate material/labor for facility and school operations (e.g. paint, gardening, translation, etc)
- Volunteer in main office with Isela
- Other needs as identified

Cash Donation- The Annual Giving Campaign takes place from October to January every year. Contributions are gladly excepted at any time. Donations can be made via check sent to the school office (attn: MPA). This year we have a matching grant from an anonymous donor and Wells Fargo. There is still time to contribute.
