Becoming a successful learner and a productive community member requires certain skills that are incorporated into the learning model at Metro. Students must demonstrate mastery of these leadership skills in order to graduate.
Students demonstrate the principles of effective communication; use precise language; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and use technology and the arts as tools to communicate to a range of audiences.
Students demonstrate the ability to complete projects successfully; employ project-planning skills; set goals and develop strategies to meet those goals; acquire and use information and resources to implement their strategies; and evaluate the effectiveness of their approach.
Students demonstrate the ability to analyze information and ideas from multiple perspectives; apply principles of logical reasoning; deconstruct concepts, text, and argument; synthesize or generalize information; and apply lessons learned to new or different situations.
