Graduating seniors will be given a limited number of tickets to distribute to family and friends who would like to attend this special celebration. Due to limited space, nobody will be admitted without a printed ticket.

Families are encouraged to attend their son or daughter’s defenses – please contact your advisor for the exact schedule.

He’ll be blogging from the field to keep his students updated on his adventures – you can check out his blog here.

The colleges we visited were: UC Santa Cruz, CSU Monterey Bay, San Jose State, UC Berkeley, CSU East Bay, Sacramento State and Dominican University.  Most students were able to visit two, and sometimes even three colleges.

On the campuses, students learned about college life and the admissions process.  They talked to current students, sat in lecture halls, visited dorms, checked out the sports facilities and even got to eat in the dining halls.  Many got excited about some day attending the school they visited, while others decided that certain schools are not for them.  Seeing the campuses first-hand helped them get a better idea of what they do and don’t want in a college.

By the end of the trips, students were tired from the walking, but also super excited about the college life that awaits them when they graduate.

We are looking forward to next year’s trips!

It is important for students to get good sleep the night before and have a good breakfast to make sure they are in their best shape for the test!

Metro’s closes for winter break after December 21 and resumes on January 7.  We wish everyone a restful break and a very happy holiday season!
